Sound, yin and restorative yoga

Chill, Sound Healing & Meditation and the Friday night Sound Bath & Gong. The quiet end of the heat ladder, open to all levels.

Fridays at 7 PM: Sound Bath & Gong

Every Friday at 7 PM the studio hosts a Sound Bath & Gong. Crystal singing bowls, chimes and gongs are all played live, and the studio describes the class as a way to guide you into a meditative state where healing begins. Its line for the night is Reset. Restore. Rewire.

Nothing is asked of you in a sound bath. You settle on the floor, close your eyes and let the sound do the work. It suits the end of a work week and a body that has been hot and strong for five days.

Chill and Sound Healing & Meditation, both at 75°

Chill runs 60 minutes at 75 degrees. It is a highly adaptable practice that combines elements of gentle flow, restorative yoga and meditation, so you move a little, then you are held still.

Sound Healing & Meditation also runs 60 minutes at 75 degrees. Many modifications are presented, and the focus is meditation and rest.

Both restorative classes are open to all levels and beginners are welcome. Seventy-five degrees is a gentle temperature, a soft landing for people who are new to the studio or new to practice.

Yin & Ganja Yoga, and how to use a slow week

The studio's own description of Yin & Ganja Yoga, featuring restorative meditation: “a guided, gentle flow that prioritizes relaxation and physical/spiritual healing. A wonderful option for chronic pain and for therapeutic healing.”

Slow classes work best when they are scheduled, not saved for emergencies. A common pattern is one restorative class between two heated or strength days, so the harder classes land on a body that has had time to settle.

Studio memberships include unlimited sound healing classes, so adding one costs nothing extra once you are a member.

Chill and Sound Healing & Meditation each run 60 minutes at 75 degrees, and the Sound Bath & Gong is every Friday at 7 PM.
